Bihar is one of the oldest inhabited places in the world and known for rich culture and heritage monuments. The state is home to many tourist attractions dotted all over the Bihar state such as Mahabodhi temple,Buddha Smriti Park,Mahavir Mandir, Asokan pillar,Barabar Caves and Vishwa Shanti Stupa. Other major attractions of state are Buxar Fort,Muchalinda Lake,Patan Devi, Srikrishna Science Centre,World Peace Pagoda Vaishali,ISKCON Temple Patna and Kargil Chowk.
* Patan Devi
Patan Devi is the oldest and one of the most sacred temples of Patna and said to be one of the 51 Siddha Shakti Pithas in India. There are two temples of Patan Devi in the city, one is known as Bari Patan Devi and another is Chhoti Patan Devi.
* Mahavir Mandir
Mahavir Mandir is dedicated to Lord Hanuman located near Patna Junction and the second most visited religious shrine in North India. The Mahavir Mandir is one of the holiest Hindu temples and must visited temple in Patna.
* Vishnupad Mandir
Vishnupad Temple is the most attractive destination in Gaya,dedicated to Hindu God Lord Vishnu. The temple is the ancient temple in Gaya,located along the Falgu River and has 8 rows of beautifully carved pillars.
* Navlakha Palace
Navlakha Palace is situated in town of Rajnagar near Madhubani is one of the heritage site of Bihar. This palace was built by Maharaja Rameshwar Singh,situated near eastern banks of Kamla River but now this palace is in ruins.
* Barabar Caves
The Barabar Caves are located 18 km north of Gaya in the Jehanabad and are the oldest surviving rock-cut caves in India. These rock-cut are situated in the twin hills of Barabar and the site has several rock-cut Buddhist,Jain and Hindu sculptures.
