Dussehra Special- 5 Places To Enjoy Dussehra Mela In Jaipur

The festvial which embarks the win of good over bad, Dussehra or Vijayadashmi is here. It is a Hindu festival which is celebrated in various forms across India, Nepal, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh to honour the victory of good over evil. Here good symbolizes Rama the god and the evil represents Ravana the demon king. This day also marks the victory of Goddess Durga over the evil Mahishasur.
The day happens to occur on the next day to Maha-Navami which is the last and most important day of Navaratri, usually after the Nine days of Navami, tenth day is celebrated as Dashmi or Dusshera but this year Dusshera and Maha-Navami are co-coincidently on the same day. Dusshera is celebrated by burning the evil Ravana followed by the dramatization of Ram-Leela. Many grounds in India are used to Burn giant sculptures of Ravana loaded with crackers inside.
# Ramleela Maidan
Fair will start between 7:00 in the evening and the Ravana Dahan from 8:00 to 8:15 pm.
# Rajat Path
Mansarovar, will run from 7:00 in the field located on the Rajat path. Here, 90 feet ravan and 80-80 feet Kumbhakarna Dahan from 9.20 PM. Will also give message to society of Beti Padao Beti Bachao, clean man with a clean mind against superstitions.
# Vidhydhar Nagar
At the Venue the Ravan himself will preach about the wisdom, truth and will tell about the consequences of his sins. Due to which he lost his life, his wisdom and his value amongst the society.
# Malviya Nagar
In the Malviya Nagar sector-9, Behind Amit Bhardwaj petrol pump at Dashera ground in the fair by 7pm. Ravana Dahan will be at 10:00 pm.
# Shastri Nagar
The mela will start by 6 p.m in the evening and the Ravana Dahan from 8.30p.m.
