Rakshabandhan is one of the most auspicious festival of India. Every sister wait for this day, to tie rakhi on her brother's wrist. There are many myths and auspicious things about rakshabandhan, but we have some points that every sister should remember, while tying rakhi to her brother.
* While tying Rakhi, you should not face downward and it should have only three knots.
* Inside your wrist, more towards the side of your palm are three veins. Each of these veins is associated with the three bodily doshas or constituents, viz. vata, pitt and kapha.
* Vata or vayu is necessary to mobilize the function of the nervous system. Pitt or bile is useful in digestion and supply of blood and energy to various parts of the body. Kapha or phlegm is the carrier of nutrients into the arterial system. It is believed that tying three knots in the Kalawa creates enough pressure on these veins to keep your body free of any disease related to these three constituents.
