Natural deodorants are not a very popular choice with deodorant users. Mostly all avid deodorant users work under the assumption that all natural deodorants smell horrible and switching to them will be like committing an atrocity to one’s nose. Fortunately, these are just false facts. Natural deodorants can be just as fragrant as chemical ones. But the benefits that you will get from using natural deodorants surpass the benefits from chemical deodorants by miles. It is not easy to make a change all of a sudden. But sometimes knowing the complete truth about something can give us the push we need for the switch.
Chemical deodorants are laden with harmful chemicals and toxins. These harmful toxins can effect our systems gravely. Think about it. Are you willing to consume a bowl of toxins? No? But that is exactly what you do when you use chemical deodorants. Spraying chemical deodorants under your armpits give the chemicals direct access to your lymph nodes and blood stream.
Chemical deodorants contain several harmful chemicals like parabens, aluminium compounds, silica, triclosan, talc and many other harmful chemicals that we don’t even know about.
Paraben is known to be a hormone disrupter that can wreak havoc inside us. Paraben can mimic estrogen inside the female body and can disrupt the whole reproductive cycle. It can increase the chances of reproductive toxicity by several folds. Paraben has been linked by scientists to breast cancer. According to Dr. Philip Harvey, several compounds that are commonly found in deodorants can get absorbed and stored in our fat cells. Many other commonly found chemicals in chemical deodorants can cause allergies, dermatitis and even cancer.
