* Aloe Vera Aloe vera mixed with yoghurt is all you need to cool yourself down after a long day out in the sun. Mix 4 tablespoons of aloe vera with a spoonful of yoghurt. Let the mask sit on your face for 15 minutes before rinsing. The cooling agents in aloe vera will make your skin feel fresh and supple.
* Cocoa, Coffee, Yogurt and Honey
Caffeine helps cleanse the skin and reduce puffiness. To prepare this mask, you will need to mix 2 tablespoons each of ground coffee, cocoa powder, yoghurt and honey. Whip it into a smooth paste. Apply the mixture evenly on clean face and let it sit for about 15 minutes before rinsing it with cool water. This is a great face mask for getting moisturised and glowing skin instantly.
* CucumberCut a cucumber and place the thin slices all over your face. Keep it for about 20-30 minutes and relax a bit, then wash your face with cold water. Cucumber has rich water content and it works like a magic on skin during summer. It fights the heat and refreshes the skin completely. It also helps in tightening your skin and gives a plum and glowing look to it.
* SandalwoodMix 2 tablespoons of sandalwood powder with 1 tablespoon of rose water. Apply it on a clean face and leave it on to dry. Rinse off with cool water. Sandalwood is actually known for its cooling effects on skin and you can feel it as soon as you apply it. This paste will not just leave you with glowing skin but also, a lovely fragrance. It is also one of the best homemade face mask which is suitable for all skin types.
* Tomato and Honey
To prepare this mask, blend one tomato into fine pulp and add 1 tablespoon of honey to it.Apply and leave it on for 10 minutes. Rinse off with cool water. Honey will help the mask stay in place and hydrates your skin from within. Tomato is known for its de-tanning properties. Therefore, it’s best to use a tomato mask as a cooling mask in summers.
* MintGrind some mint leaves and add some water into it. Make a thick paste out of it and then apply it onto your face. Leave the paste for about 20-30 minutes and relax. Wash it off with cold water. Mint is known to absorb the internal heat of the skin that really gives you a cooling effect. It calms your skin irritation and makes you feel refreshed.
