There are a number of factors why our skin is not in the best of shape right now. While the nationwide lockdown helped us channel our inner 'masterchef', it hasn't been particularly a very good news for our skin. Cheesy, fried, processed, we have been eating everything at home and the results are also evident on our skin. And now that we have cribbed enough about it, it is finally time to do something to fix the problem; and no, we are not asking you to give up on all those indulgent treats at once. You can, however, start with introducing some healthy elements to your diet; for instance, this coriander and lemon juice.
Coriander, commonly known as hara dhaniya in local terms is an aromatic herb native to Southern Europe and Western Asia. It is also popular as cilantro or Chinese parsley. It is the most versatile ingredient and every part of it is edible.
Coriander and Lemon, A Fabulous Combination Youthful SkinThis fresh and zingy green juice is a treasure of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. Both coriander and lemon are profuse with vitamin C, a potent antioxidant that helps fight free radical activity. Free radical activity is a hazardous chain reaction that takes place in our body causing immense oxidative stress. This leads the premature ageing of cells, and makes your skin dull and wrinkly.
Green juices are also gaining traction for their weight loss and detox benefits. According to Macrobiotic Nutritionist and Health Coach Shilap Arora says a simple, homemade green juice acts like a sponge and cleanses your system from within. As we all know, a cleansed system results in clear skin as well. In these times, where we have to battle pollution every day and eat all sorts of junk, it is a good idea to detox from time to time. Moreover, these detox juices also help weight loss owing to their low-cal goodness.
