Our skin in winters become dry and dull if we don’t take good care of it. Most of us, while taking care of our face, our hair, etc. forget to take care of hands. Take just 15 minutes of your 24 hours and try these 3-activities hand-care routine almost everyday, your hands will be hand-model-perfect in a few days.
Soak your hands in lukewarm water for just 7-8 minutes. You can add 2-3 tsp of coarse sea salt in the water. Slightly rub hands against each other every minute. This will help soften the dry and dead skin cells on your hands, which are relatively more in winter than in other seasons, and also the reason why your skin looks dull and dark. The sea salt cleanses pores deeply, balances oil production and kills bacteria.
# Scrubbing
Soaking makes it easier to scrub out all the dead skin cells and even the accumulated dirt in your nails and near cuticles. Scrub your hands gently for at least 5 minutes. You can make your own homemade scrub by mixing brown sugar, coffee powder, virgin coconut oil, baking soda, etc. You can make this scrub in bulk and store it for quite a few weeks. This will also reduce the dark-knuckles issue, regulate blood circulation of your hand, make your skin glow and increases effectiveness of moisturisers.
# Moisturising
It is quite obvious to moisturise during winter, but specially after doing the previous two hand-care activities you must apply a nice coat of moisturiser because your active skin cells are very much exposed to the winter weather and they should be protected against the dry and cold air. There is a variety of hand moisturising creams in the market which smells like heaven! You can also opt for herbal body oils, which are, in fact, more beneficial for our skin for obvious reasons.
