Ajay Devgn to make Tollywood debut with Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2

Bollywood actors have time and again collaborated with projects from the south. After Akshay Kumar, now Bollywood’s Singham Ajay Devgn will make his Tamil debut at large. The actor will be sharing screen space with Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan in the sequel to 1996 blockbuster Indian aka Hindustani.

Kamal was quoted in an interview with a leading daily when asked of Ajay’s role in the film. He said, “That’s what I have been told. Ultimately, it is the director’s call.” Well, this answer will certainly bring a huge smile to the fans of both the stars as watching them together will definitely be a huge treat for the cine-goers.

The film is expected to go on floors in Hyderabad after Kamal wraps up the shooting of Bigg Boss Tamil. The makers are considering Nayanthara to play the lead role in Indian 2. As for Ajay Devgn, he will be next seen in an urban rom-com. The film marks the directorial debut of known editor Akiv Ali and is bankrolled by Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety director Luv Ranjan. It is a quirky take on modern-day relationship in a quirky way and also stars Rakulpreet Singh and Tabu in pivotal roles. It is expected to release in October during the Dussehra weekend.
