Kalki Koechlin made her debut with Dev D, after that the actress went on to do more unconventional films like The Girl in the Yellow Boots, Shaitaan to name a few. She is also a recipient of National award for her film Margarita with a Straw.
With such a humungous line of work one must have thought the actress would be immensely satisfied with her career but it’s a different story altogether. Talking about her Bollywood career, the actress said, “I am never fully satisfied with my work. I always want to do more, I am very critical of my own work. I am like, ‘Oh god I could have done better’ but I think this type of thoughts is great for creativity. I love my job I love acting I love the kind of films I have done. I am blessed that I have such diversity in my career to do commercial films, independent films now I am doing podcast, poetry performances so all of this is like enriching. My each role has taught me something different. So yes although I am happy, I have to keep complaining also.”
On being questioned, what’s the one thing she wants to learn and explore in her personal space, the actress said she wants to learn the art of appreciation. “I want to learn the art of appreciation. I think the appreciation of daily life of not always dwelling on the past or dreaming about the future but always living in the present. Acknowledging what you have today, every moment counts you don’t know when your time is up. It’s really important to appreciate every day.” Concluded the actress.
Kalki will be next seen in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy and Eros Now original web series Smoke.
