Amidst many celebrities who contribute to social causes, here’s Katrina Kaif who has been donating a chunk of her earnings to a school in Tamil Nadu. The actress has been working towards the development of the Mountain View School the past couple of years but none of it made it to media reports.
Recent reports have it that Katrina Kaif visits the school whenever she has the time but never fails to donate money there. In fact, it is being said that the money she earns through reality shows like Dus Ka Dum and Kaun Banega Crorepati, too, are completely given away to this school which is a part of her mother’s project Relief Project India.
Katrina’s mother Susanne Turquotte works for many social causes and is actively associated with the Relief Project India. Speaking of RPI, it focuses mainly on providing quality education to underprivileged children including English education which they otherwise are unable to afford. Besides that, it also conducts hemoglobin tests for nursery children and provides other healthcare facilities for them.
While Katrina Kaif is rarely able to make time to meet them, we hear she never fails to send across the donation. Katrina is quite busy on the Bollywood front and often is away for months shooting for her film. So whilst she is unable to take out time to visit the children too often, she is said to be ensuring that her donation reaches on time for them. Katrina, in the past, has also reportedly sung nursery-rhyme voice-overs for these kids in collaboration with the musical genius A R Rahman.
On the film front, Katrina Kaif will be a part of the YRF magnum opus Thugs Of Hindostan. She will also be seen in the Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma starrer Zero. Recent reports also suggest that she may be a part of Bharat, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar after Priyanka Chopra walked out of the project a day ago.
