Rangasthalam's teaser just dropped in which stars Ram Charan Teja and Samantha Akkineni in lead roles. While Rangasthalam has been touted to be a revenge drama, the film looks like it will have a good mix of comedy. As Chitti Babu, the deaf hero is a sort of "Sound Engineer", a moniker floated by his village's residents (by the way, was this an in-thing in the '80s, in which era the film's story unfolds?). Ram Charan's association with ace filmmaker Sukumar has generated a lot of expectations about the film. Ram Charan has not had the best of luck in the films unlike his father and other than Magadheera he has not done a memorable film.
The film has a promising cast - Samantha Akkineni, Aadhi Pinisetty, Jagapati Babu - but all we see is bearded Ram Charan trying to attract attention with his entertaining introduction. And also, special role is designed for Anasuya Bharadwaj, the rumours affirm. Sukumar's last directorial was Junior NTR's 25th film, Nannaku Prematho. The film is all set to grace the screens on March 30. They also confirmed that the first look video will also be released on the Facebook page of Rangasthalam and on the Instagram account of Mythri Movie Makers at the same time.
Pooja Hegde is seen in an item number, which is going to be one of the highlights of the film, which boasts of Devi Sri Prasad's music, R Rathnavelu's cinematography and Navin Nooli's editing.
