10 Home Remedies To Treat Cellulitis

Using an ice pack or a heating pad for 15 to 20 minutes can drastically reduce swelling and pain that can come with cellulitis. You can use either one or use one then other shortly after you stop using the first. You can repeat two to three times a day depending on how much pain you are in.

# Oregano Oil

Oregano oil has antibacterial properties and other properties that can help you to heal from cellulitis that much faster. All you need to do to use oregano oil is to mix three or four drops of the oil with a tablespoon of a carrier oil. After you have the oil mixture, apply it to the affected area and leave it in place for three or four hours before rinsing it off with water.

# Turmeric Paste Mixture

This is another paste you can make to apply to the skin that is causing you pain. You need to mix a tablespoon of honey, a teaspoon of turmeric powder, and two or three drops of tea tree oil. Apply the paste to the affected skin and leave in place for 15 or 20 minutes before washing it off with room temperature water. For the best results, repeat this two a day for a week.

This paste should be able to help you at least a little bit when it comes to the swelling and fighting the infection. The honey also has healing properties that should be able to help you with the cellulitis.

# Epsom Salts

Epsom salts have plenty of magnesium that can help to calm inflammation and the pain that it causes with cellulitis. It is very easy to use Epsom salts to your advantages. All you need to do is take a 15 or 20 minute bath with a cup of Epsom salts.

# Apple Cider Vinegar

This is another thing you can add to a 15 or 20 minute bath. You need to add a cup or two of apple cider vinegar to a slightly warmed bath water. If you are feeling discomfort and do not have time for a bath, you can also just dilute the apple cider vinegar and apply it to the area that is bothering you.

Apple cider vinegar should be able to help you a bit because it can calm swelling and the pain that is brought with cellulitis while helping to keep the infection from coming back in the future.

# Fenugreek Seeds

Fenugreek seeds are good for calming the symptoms of cellulitis. These seeds have anti-inflammatories, flavonoids, antimicrobial, and analgesic. All of these help to calm the swelling and pain while helping to kill the bacteria that results in the cellulitis.

To use the fenugreek seeds is going to take a little bit of time, but it will be worth the wait. Soak the seeds overnight in water and then grind them the next the morning into a paste while they are still soft. After you have the paste, you need to apply it to the affected area and leave it there for an hour or so before washing it off with room temperature water. You can use this paste up to twice a day.

Use two or three cloves of garlic to make a paste by mushing up the garlic and apply to the affected skin and washing it off after an hour or two. You can also add garlic to your everyday diet.

Making this paste or adding garlic to diet is a wise thing to because garlic has the power to calm pain and inflammation that is caused by cellulitis.

Both vitamin E and vitamin C are helpful. Vitamin E helps to protect and heal your skin while vitamin C builds up your immunity so cellulitis is weakened and your immunity system becomes stronger.
