The lake itself is easily accessed from the Icefields Parkway. This lake got its name from Bill Peyton, an early 20th Century explorer who explored the Canadian Rockies during the days of Canada’s western expansion.

# Five-Flower Lake, ChinaThe pristine water of Wuhua Hai, or Five-Flower Lake, is the pride of Jiuzhaigon National Park in China. This lake contains such auspicious colors of nature, such flourishing flowers and trees of various kinds that it gives a multi-colored exquisite grandeur. This is why the lake is also called the ‘five-flower lake’. The water actually consists of carbonate as well as hydrophytes which is why when the rays of sun combine with the water along with reflective colors of scenery around it, the lake beams with a vesicular sight of a bizarre color combination.
