Pangong Tso, which means long narrow and enchanting in Tibetan language, truly lives to its name. The lake is known to change colour when viewed from different angles so you see different shades of blue especially at sunrise and sunset. # Wular LakeThe Wular Lake in Jammu and Kashmir region, is one of the largest freshwater lakes in India and the largest in Asia. # GurudongmarOne of the highest altitude lake in Sikkim Gurudongmar, is considered one of the most holy lake by both the Hindus and the Buddhists, the blessed water of the lake is supposed to have miraculous power. The most interesting part about this lake is that in winter the entire lake freezes except for a spot which remains unfrozen, and which is said to be blessed by the devotees. At an altitude of 17800 feet above sea level, the milky looking lake is surreal in all the seasons.
# Tsongmo LakeTsongmo also known as Changu Lake, with snow clad mountains in the background, and water as clear as a shining mirror, makes one feel that this probably what heaven looks like. This lake is on the way to Nathula Pass, towards the Indo – China Border and is a place that should not be missed while in Sikkim.
