Marsimik La is now said to be the highest motorable passes in the world, at an elevation 5,582 metres (18,314 ft). The high mountain pass is located about 20 km from the most beautiful lake of India, Pangong Lake.

* Photi La (18,124 ft)

Photi La is one of the lesser known high mountain pass of India, One of the newly opened pass in Ladakh and one of the top 5 highest motorable roads in India, Also home to amazingly beautiful place called Hanle.

* Kaksang La (17,798 ft)

Kaksang La is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 5.438m, Located in Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir. Every tourist need an Inner Line Permits to visit this region of Ladakh.

* Chang La (17,585 ft)

Chang La high mountain pass is also called as second highest motor-able road in the world. The high mountain pass of Ladakh is on route to Pangong Lake from Leh and serve as a gateway to the Changtang Plateau in the Himalayas, Home to nomadic Tibetan people.

* Khardung La (17,582 ft)

Khardung La on the Ladakh Range is a gateway to the tourist attraction Nubra valley at an elevation of 5,359 m (17,582 ft). The mountain pass required an Inner Line Permit to visit for tourists, It was earlier incorrectly claimed to be world’s highest motorable.

* Taglang La (17,480 ft)

Taglang La high mountain pass in Ladakh is another highest motorable pass in India and one of the highest motorable road in the world on Leh-Manali Highway.

* Lungalacha La (16,600 ft)

Lungalacha La also is also along the Leh Manali Highway and situated between Sarchu and Pang. It is located at (5,059 m or 16,600 ft) and easier as compare to other mountain passes of Ladakh but hikers still face breathlessness due to elevation.
