Try This Home Made Liquid Dish Soap

Constantly running out of expensive dish wash liquids? Do you think that you tend to use up too much of it and they get over too soon? Well, you are not alone. Many of us find that a fresh bottle gets used up in no time and we are constantly refilling it much before the end of the month. The solution to avoiding the whole expense cycle on liquid dish soap is to make your own at home. Do it yourself, did we say? Yes! It is not rocket science to put together a dish cleaning liquid and we tell you here how you can easily put together a homemade liquid dish soap.

Ingredients

1 and 1/2 cups of water
1 tsp washing soda
1 tsp glycerin
1/4 cup castile soap*, grated
8-10 drops of your favorite essential oil

Method

* Heat the water until it is boiling hot. Add all the remaining ingredients in a deep pan and mix well. Make sure that there are no lumps in the washing soda. Now pour the water over these ingredients and whisk it well to form a smooth paste. If you have a blender, you could even use it to whip the entire mixture. Allow it to cool and pour it into a pump bottle. You can store excess soap in a zipper pouch or a bottle and use it to refill when you are out of dish soap.

* This soap is effective in removing oil and grime from your vessels. If you find it too thick, you can thin it down with some water. If it is thin, you could add some more soap shavings. The essential oils will make the time you spend doing dishes aromatic. And I bet this liquid dish soap is gentler on your hands when compared to your store bought dish soap.
