An easy quick cottage cheese side dish that can be prepared in a jiffy, is nutritious, yummy, and loved by all. You can pack this with paratha in your office lunch box or kid’s school lunch box.
Ingredients250 grams crumbled Paneer ( cottage cheese)
2 tbsp oil/ ghee
1 onion finely chopped
½ capsicum cubed or cut into thin strips
1 tomato deseeded and finely chopped
1 tsp green chili chopped
salt to taste
¼ tsp Haldi (turmeric powder)
½ tsp red chili powder
¼ tsp Chaat masala or lemon juice
¼ tsp garam masala
chopped coriander leaves for garnish
Method
- Heat oil in a pan. Add onions, capsicum and green chilies and Saute for a minute till onions are translucent.
- Now add tomatoes and cook on a slow flame for 2-3 minutes till soft. Keep on stirring continuously.
- Add salt, red chili powder, turmeric, garam masala, and chaat masala and cook for 30 seconds.
- If you are using lemon juice add that just before serving dish.
- Add crumbled paneer and give it a good stir. Cover the pan with a lid and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Don’t overcook bhurji after adding Paneer as it becomes hard and chewy.
- Switch off the flame. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with Roti, paratha, or Bread.
