Ingredients 500 grams chicken, cleaned and cut into pieces
2 cups gongura (sorrel) leaves, washed and chopped
2 onions, finely chopped
2 tomatoes, finely chopped
2 green chilies, slit
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 tablespoon red chili powder
1 tablespoon coriander powder
Salt to taste
2 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
A pinch of asafoetida (hing)
Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing

Method- In a bowl, mix the chicken pieces with turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, ginger-garlic paste, and salt.

- Heat oil in a pan and add chopped gongura leaves.
- Saute the leaves until they wilt and release their juices.
- Allow the mixture to cool and then grind it into a smooth paste using a blender or food processor.
- Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. Allow them to splutter.
- Add cumin seeds and a pinch of asafoetida (hing) for flavor.
- Add chopped onions and green chilies. Saute until onions turn golden brown.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and mushy.
