Ingredients

1 cup multigrain flour (a mixture of wheat flour, besan and oats)
1/2 cup finely chopped onions
1/2 cup finely chopped tomatoes
1/4 cup finely chopped coriander leaves
1 tsp ginger paste
1 green chili, finely chopped
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp cumin seeds
Salt to taste
Water as required
Oil for cooking

Method

- In a mixing bowl, add multigrain flour, chopped onions, tomatoes, coriander leaves, ginger paste, green chili, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, and salt. Mix well.

- Gradually add water to the mixture and mix until a smooth batter is formed. The consistency of the batter should be slightly thicker than dosa batter.

- Heat a non-stick tawa or griddle and grease it with a little oil.

- Pour a ladle full of batter on the tawa and spread it in a circular motion using the back of the ladle.

- Drizzle a few drops of oil around the edges of the cheela and cook on medium flame until the bottom is golden brown.

- Flip the cheela and cook the other side until it turns golden brown and crispy.

- Remove the cheela from the tawa and serve hot with mint chutney or tomato ketchup.
