Ingredients:20 Soya Chunks
4 Shallots
6 Garlic Cloves (crushed)
1½ tsp Red Chilly Powder
¼ tsp Turmeric Powder
½ tsp Pepper Powder
1 tsp Chicken Masala
2 stems of Curry Leaves
3 tbsp Oil
Salt (to taste)
Method* Soak soya chunks in water for around ½ hour. Squeeze out excess water and cut into 3-4 small circles.
* Combine together shallots, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, pepper powder, chicken masala and salt in a grinder. Grind into a smooth paste.
* Add garlic and process for 2 seconds.
* Toss in soya chunks and curry leaves. Marinate for 15 minutes.
* Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the soya chunks until crusty.
* Serve hot.
