Ingredients 2 cups finely shredded cabbage
1 cup chana dal (split Bengal gram)
2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 tablespoons rice flour
2 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves
1 teaspoon ginger paste
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying
Method- Rinse the chana dal under running water and soak it in enough water for about 2 hours. Drain the water completely before using.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the soaked and drained chana dal, shredded cabbage, chopped green chilies, chopped onion, rice flour, chopped coriander leaves, ginger paste, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well to form a coarse mixture.
- Heat oil in a deep pan or kadai over medium heat for deep frying.
- Take a small portion of the mixture in your hand and shape it into a round or flat vada. Repeat the process until all the mixture is used.
