Ingredients of Non Fried Masala Banana Chips3 raw bananas (plantains)
2 tablespoons oil (olive oil or coconut oil)
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon chaat masala
1 teaspoon black salt or regular salt
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala (optional)
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
How to Make Non Fried Masala Banana Chips- First peel the raw bananas and slice them thinly using a mandoline slicer or a sharp knife.
- Now put lace the slices in a bowl of water mixed with turmeric powder to prevent browning. Let them soak for about 10 minutes, then drain and pat dry with a clean kitchen towel.
- Now in a large mixing bowl, combine the oil, red chili powder, chaat masala, black salt, cumin powder, garam masala, and coriander powder. Then add the dried banana slices to the bowl and toss well to coat evenly with the masala mixture.
- After that preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the banana slices in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are crispy and golden brown. Keep an eye on them to avoid burning. Or Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Place the banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Air fry for 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until they are crispy and golden.
- Remove the chips from the oven or air fryer and let them cool completely on a wire rack.
- Once cooled, sprinkle with lemon juice (optional) and serve immediately or store in an airtight container for later.
