Ramadan Recipe- Make Your Iftar Delicious With Chapli Kebab

Chapli Kebab is a popular dish from the Pakistani province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, but it is also enjoyed in other regions of Pakistan and in parts of Afghanistan. It is made from ground beef or lamb that is mixed with a variety of spices and formed into thin patties or discs that are then shallow-fried until crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

Here's a simple recipe for making Chapli Kebab at home:

Ingredients

1/2 kg beef or lamb mince
1/2 cup gram flour (besan)
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
2 tbsp ginger paste
2 tbsp garlic paste
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp garam masala powder
Salt, to taste
Oil, for frying

Method

- In a mixing bowl, combine the minced meat, gram flour, chopped onions, chopped tomatoes, chopped coriander leaves, ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder, and salt. Mix well to combine.

- Knead the mixture well with your hands to combine all the ingredients together.

- Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into flat discs (like patties).

- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the kababs to the pan and fry until golden brown on both sides.

- Remove the kababs from the pan and place them on a paper towel to remove excess oil.

- Serve hot with naan or roti and mint chutney.
