Dilpasand is of the most delicious, yummy treats available in the popular Iyengar's Bangalore Bakeries in Pune. Crisp and flaky on the outside, sweet with a yummy bites of tutti fruity and slightly chewy on the inside.
Ingredients2 cups of frozen or fresh shredded coconut
1 cup Sugar
1 tsp Cardamom powder
pinch of Nutmeg powder
Assorted nuts
Puff Pastry sheets or Frozen Paratha
Tutti Fruity 1/4 cup
Method* Add shredded coconut to pan and fry over medium heat for 3 to 4 mts.
* Add sugar, mix well and cook for 3 to 4 mts.
* Add cardamom powder, dry fruits, nutmeg (add some roasted sooji in filling if required) and mix well.
* Finally add tutti fruity and wait till the time mixture becomes cool.
* Leave frozen paratha (or puff pastry sheets) at room temperature for 30 mts.
* Cut paratha in two rounds, one bigger and other little small in size.
* Put stuffing over paratha, spread evenly and place another piece of paratha over filling and seal its edges using a drop of water.
* Now bake over 350 degree fahrenheit for 30 mts and after 30 mts turn off the oven and leave tray in hot oven for another 15 mts
