I was blessed with a black plum tree (jamun in Hindi) at our premise. But it was many years ago and now the tree is no more there. Nowadays I even forget to have this fruit every year. Like last year, I did not eat any jamun fruit (black plum). But this year for the first time I have eaten jamun and also prepare jamun sharbat (or refreshing black plum juice). It is healthy, refreshing & very delicious summer drink, probably the best drink if jamun is your favorite fruit.
Ingredients
200 gm jamun/black plum fruit
12-15 fresh mint leaves
Pinches of black salt
2.5 teaspoons sugar, optional
2 glasses of chilled water
Ice cubes as needed
Method- Wash Jamun fruits and then remove its seeds
- Take jamun (seeds removed), black salt, mint leaves, sugar and chilled water into a blender and whisk and make sharbat
- Serve this drink with ice cubes as needed.
