Ingredients
For Roasting Besan
2 teaspoon ghee
½ cup Besan/chickpea flour
For Dates Mixture1 teaspoon ghee
10 dates / khajur deseeded and chopped
10 raisins / kishmish
10 cashews + 10 almonds powdered
¼ teaspoon cardamom / elaichi powder
Method- In a non-stick pan, heat 2 teaspoons of ghee on a low flame. Once ghee melts, add besan. Stir continuously and roast 4-5 for minutes till it becomes light brown in color and fragrant.
- Once roasted well, take out the mixture on a plate.
- In a separate pan, heat 1 teaspoon of ghee and add the chopped dates. Cook for 3-4 minutes on medium-low heat. While cooking, continue mashing the dates with a spatula. You can also mash the dates with a vegetable masher.
- Once dates become soft, add raisins, powdered nuts, and elaichi powder. Mix well. Keep the flame on low heat.
- Now add the roasted besan mixture and mix. Cook for a few seconds till everything is mixed. Now switch off the flame and remove the mixture on a plate. Let the mixture cool down a bit.
- Once the mixture cools down a bit, mix everything well so it becomes easy to make ladoos. Take small portions and shape ladoos. If while shaping ladoos you feel the mixture is dry, you can add little ghee. This quantity yields about 7 ladoos.
