A rich dark, moist Chocolate Cake, will be almost everyone’s favorite & is a hit recipe among the kids.This delicious chocolate cake can be enjoyed by the vegetarians too.
Ingredients
Maida / all purpose flour- 1 ½ cups
Cocoa pwd- 4 tbsp
Baking soda- 1 tsp
Baking pwd- ¼ tsp
Vanilla essence- 1 tsp
Lemon juice- 2 tsp
Granulated sugar- 1 cup
Cooking oil- ¼ cup
Chocolate chips- 2 tbsp
Method* Keep ready the microwave pan by greasing it with some oil and line up at bottom using butter or wax paper.
* In a mixing bowl, add water and vanilla essence.
* Mix well and add lemon juice, sugar and oil.
* Mix well until sugar is completely dissolved.
* Sieve maida, cocoa powder, baking soda and baking powder twice to remove any lumps.
* Add it to the above wet mixture little by little, and mix gently.
* The batter consistency shouldn’t be too thick or watery.
* Fold in choco chips and give a quick stir.
* Pre heat oven to 180°C for 10 mins.
* Pour batter in greased pan. Gently tap to remove any air bubbles in the batter.
* Bake it at 180°C for for 30 to 35 mins.
* Give it a standing time of 5 to 10 mins.
* Then gently transfer cake on a cooling rack.
* Cut into pieces and enjoy by sprinkling some powdered sugar at the topInsert tooth-pick, if it comes out clear, cake is ready.
