Being a vegetarian, after lentils paneer is the primary source of protein. We love and prepare different varieties using paneer. Why make only Indian cuisine when we can have many others with same ingredients. Healthy version of Indo-Chinese dish prepared by cutting paneer into bite-sized pieces and tossed with vegetables, chillies and sauces.
Ingredients100g paneer cut into thick strips
1 tablespoon garlic paste
1 tablespoon ginger paste
2 onions, sliced
3-4 green chillies (or to taste), cut lengthwise
1 small red pepper/capsicum, sliced
1 teaspoon soy sauce
2 tablespoons oil
2 tablespoons tomato ketchup
2 tablespoons chilli sauce
Salt to taste
Method- Heat oil in a large non-stick pan and add the garlic & ginger paste. Saute on medium heat for 1-2 minutes or till it turns golden brown in colour.
- Add the onions, red pepper/capsicum and green chillies. Saute for about 30 seconds. There is no need to brown the onions and the vegetables.
- Add the paneer, salt, chinese salt, tomato ketchup, chilli sauce and soya sauce. Mix well and saute for about 30 seconds.
- Serve hot.
