Soya chunks is a popular food across the globe. It is also very popular in India and used to make various delicious dishes. Vegetarian people love this food most because it is not just tasty but also healthy. It contains a significant amount of protein. Like all other soya chunks based dishes, I love soya chunks pakoda which is simple & tasty. Many people love those crispy & soft pakoda. But many people do not enjoy soya chunks pakoda. But if you like soya based food then you will definitely enjoy this pakoda.
Ingredients
For boiling soya chunks1 cup soya chunks
1 teaspoon grated ginger
2 garlic cloves
2 green chillies
Salt to taste
For batter preparation1 egg
1.5 tablespoons besan
1.5 teaspoons red chilli powder
½ teaspoon turmeric powder
Salt to taste
Any refined oil for deep frying
Instructions- Heat water in a cooking pot and add grated ginger, garlic cloves, green chillies & salt, allow it to boil
- Now add soya chunks and boil for 5-7 minutes
- Drain water & rest it for for 10 minutes
- Press soya chunks properly with your hand to remove water from soya chunks
- Now take egg, besan, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt in a bowl and mix all properly
- Dip all boiled soya chunks and coat all soya chunks properly with batter
- Heat oil in a kadai and add batter coated soya chunks into oil and fry those over medium fry till those chunks turns into dark red or golden colour.
