Super-healthy raita packed with protein from sprouts and nutrients from health-giving vegetables. This delicious, quick and easy to prepare raita can perk up any ordinary meal and make it healthier.
Ingredients2 cups whisked yogurt
1 cup moong sprouts or mixed sprouts
2 tablespoons finely chopped onions
1 tablespoon finely chopped tomatoes
2 tablespoons finely chopped cucumber
1 tablespoon grated carrots
1 tablespoon finely chopped coriander leaves
1/2 teaspoon black salt or to taste
1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
1/4 teaspoon chaat masala
A pinch of red chilli powder (optional)
Method- Add the sprouts in a pressure cooker along with 1/2 cup of water and salt. Pressure cook on high heat for 2 whistles.
- Reduce the heat to low and cook for 2 minutes. Let the steam escape before opening the lid of pressure cooker. Let the sprouts cool to room temperature.
- Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
- Keep it in the refrigerator till you are ready to serve.
- Garnish with red chilli powder and roasted cumin powder.
