With the start of new year, everybody must have some resolution. Basic of such resolutions is diet and weight loss, to be fit. You must be looking some healthy recipes. One such recipe is Jawal ladoo. We are not using jaggery or sugar in it and jawas itself is healthy.
Ingredients
1/2 cup Jawas / Flax seeds
1/2 cup grated dry Coconut
3~4 tsp Ghee
1 tsp Dink / Edible Gum
1/2 cup Wheat flour
1 tsp Ghee
1/2 cup Dates
2 tsp finely chopped Cashew nuts
2 tsp finely chopped Walnuts
2 tsp finely chopped Almonds
Finely chopped Pistachios
Method
* Heat up a pan on medium heat and add flax seeds in it.
* Roast flax seeds a little for about 3-4 minutes.
* Don’t change the color or they will release bitterness into ladoos.
* When flax seeds get a little glaze of oil it means these are roasted well.
* Transfer them into a blender jar.
* Add grated dry coconut in the same pan and roast it a little.
* When coconut gets nice golden color transfer it into a bowl.
* Add ghee in the same pan.
* Add dink and fry it until puffs up really good.
* When dink puffs up well transfer it into blender jar having roasted flax seeds.
* Add wheat flour in the same ghee and roast it really good.
* You can use soya bean flour in place of wheat flour.
* Transfer the roasted wheat flour into the bowl having roasted coconut.
* Add ghee in the same pan again and dates.
* Roast dates well until paste is formed.
* Blend roasted flax seeds and fried dink into fine powder in mixer.
* Transfer the powder into the bowl having roasted coconut and wheat flour.
* Add cashew nuts, walnuts, almonds, roasted dates and mix everything well together.
* Roll the mixture into ladoos and garnish with few pistachios.
* Jawas ladoos are all ready.
