Ingredients4 large boiled potatoes, peeled and mashed
1/2 cup roasted peanuts, coarsely ground
1/2 cup grated fresh coconut
1/4 cup chopped nuts (such as cashews, almonds, or walnuts)
1 tablespoon ginger paste
1 tablespoon green chili paste
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Method- In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, ground peanuts, ginger paste, green chili paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the grated coconut and chopped nuts.
- Take a small portion of the potato mixture and shape it into a ball. Flatten the ball to form a small patty.
- Place a spoonful of the coconut-nut mixture in the center of the patty.
- Seal the edges of the patty together to enclose the filling and form a ball or patty.
- Repeat this process until all the potato mixture and filling have been used up.
- Heat the oil in a deep frying pan or pot.
-Once the oil is hot, carefully place the pattice into the oil, and fry until they turn golden brown and crispy on all sides.
- Remove the Farali Pattice from the oil and drain them on a paper towel-lined plate.
