Refreshing and healthful side dish prepared by mixing whisked yogurt with finely chopped vegetables and fragrant spices. Raita is an indian salad dressed with thick yogurt usually served with parathas / biryani / pulao / mixed rice varieties.My biryani meal is incomplete without a raita…I made this mixed veg raita to go along with mutton biryani and it was a great combination.
Ingredients2 tablespoons finely chopped tomatoes
1 tablespoon finely chopped onions
2 tablespoons finely chopped cucumber
2 cups whisked yogurt (chilled)
1 tablespoon finely chopped coriander leaves
1/2 teaspoon black salt or to taste
1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
1/4 teaspoon chaat masala
Method- Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
- Keep it in the refrigerator till you are ready to serve.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and roasted cumin powder.
