Recipe- Refreshing Apple Iced Tea

Iced tea is a perfect refreshing drink for tea lovers. If you are a fan of tea, then you can enjoy a variety of flavoured teas to beat the summer heat.

There can be many variations for iced teas and it is best if you are using fresh homemade fruit juice. We have used fresh apple juice for this apple iced tea recipe.

Ingredients

250 ml water
1 teaspoon tea leaves
100 ml apple juice
1 teaspoon lemon juice adjust to taste
2-3 apple slices
2-3 lemon wedges
¼ teaspoon sugar adjust to taste

Method

- Take water in a pan and let it come to a boil.

- Once water starts boiling, switch off the flame and add tea leaves. Cover and allow the tea leaves to steep and sit in hot water for 3-4 minutes.

- If you want strong tea flavour, then you can let this mixture steep for 5-6 minutes.

- After 3-4 minutes, strain with a tea strainer and let the tea cool down completely.

- TIP: You can also prepare this tea ahead and keep refrigerated. Doing this process in advance will save your time while making flavoured iced tea.

- Take out juice from about 2 medium sized apples. You can also use readymade apple juice.

- Once tea mixture comes to room temperature, mix it with apple juice and add lemon juice. Mix well.

- At this stage, check the taste and add sugar or honey or any sweetener accordingly. You can also skip adding any sweetener.

- In a serving glass or mug, add lemon wedges, ice cubes (if adding), and thinly sliced apple. Pour this apple iced tea. Enjoy.
