The thing that we miss the most during this lock down is street food. Am I right? So here is a street style recipe for you. Aloo toast is a very easy and simple recipe. It tastes just yummy and can be made easily and quickly. This open sandwich has nice and chatapata taste.
Ingredients2 boiled Potatoes
1/2 tsp Red chili powder
1/2 tsp Coriander powder
1/4 tsp Cumin powder
Finely chopped Green chiili
1/2 tsp Garam masala
1/2 tsp Black pepper powder
Finely chopped Coriander leaves
Salt to taste
Lemon juice
Bread slices
Butter
Green chutney
Sweet Tamarind chutney
Finely chopped Onion
Finely chopped Tomato
Fine Sev
Method* Peel and mash the boiled potatoes.
* Add red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, green chili, garam masala, black pepper powder, coriander leaves, salt lemon juice and mix everything well together.
* You can use chat masala or amchoor powder for sour taste.
* Aloo masala is ready.
* Take bread slices and spread butter on one side.
* Spread green chutney, aloo masala.
* Press the aloo masala a little so that it will stick to the bread and won’t fall off while toasting.
* Heat up a pan on medium heat.
* Spread butter and place the sandwich on it.
* Toast the bread well from lower side until crispy and brown.
* When lower is toasted well spread butter on upper side and flip it over.
* Toasting form other side is optional. You can skip it if you don’t want.
* When it is toasted well form other side too take it off into a plate.
* Spread sweet tamarind chutney, onion, tomato, coriander leaves, sev and cut it into the size and shape you want.
* Aloo toast is all ready.
