Ingredients

1/2 cup + 1 tbsp warm Milk
1 tbsp Sugar
2 1/4 tsp Active dry yeast (1 packet)
2 cups All-purpose flour (Maida)
3/4 tsp Salt
3 tbsp Butter, softened to room temperature
1/2 to 3/4 cup Mozzarella cheese

For Garlic Sauce

2 tbsp Butter, melted
1/2 to 1 tsp Garlic powder
1 tsp Garlic, minced
1 tbsp Mayonnaise
1 tbsp Green onion or spring onion, chopped

Method

* In a bowl, add warm milk and sugar, mix well. Sprinkle yeast and leave it undisturbed for 10 minutes.

* Add flour, salt and knead it using hands till combined. Add butter and continue kneading for good 10 minutes till you get a soft and smooth dough. Kneading the dough well will give you soft and fluffy bread.

* Cover the dough and keep it aside for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

* Transfer the dough to the working surface. Using your palm, press gently to form a circle or oval shape of 8-inch diameter. Cover it and let it rest for 10 minutes - this is optional.

* After 10 minutes, using a sharp knife, score the bread into square or crisscross pattern. Leave 1/2 inch towards the edge.

* In another bowl, add all the ingredients mentioned under garlic sauce and mix until combined. Smear this on top of the bread and then insert mozzarella cheese in between the creases of the scored dough.

* Bake in 350 degrees F preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until cheese has melted and becomes bubbly. If you want golden brown color on top, broil for 1 or 2 minutes. The baking time may vary for every single oven.

* Remove garlic cheese bread from the oven and let it sit for another 5 minutes. Serve warm, not hot, to get the actual taste, flavor and enjoy your bread
