Recipe- Tasty Paan Ice Cream


Refreshing ice-cream flavoured with fresh paan leaves. It looks gorgeous, tastes divine and perfectly complements any meal!

Ingredients

150 ml heavy cream
2 tablespoons condensed milk
3 tablespoons gulkand
2 paan leaves
1 tablespoon mukhwas
3 tablespoons milk
2 tablespoons tutti-frutti
3-4 drops green food colour (optional)

Method

* Pour the heavy cream in a large bowl and place this bowl in the freezer for 10-15 minutes. If you are going to use a hand whisk, place it in the freezer as well with the cream.

* Place condensed milk in the freezer for 10-15 minutes.

* After chilling the heavy cream in the freezer, beat it using a hand or electric whisk until soft peaks are formed.

* Shred the paan leaves using your hands. Combine the shredded paan leaves, gulkand, mukhwas and milk in a grinder and grind into a smooth paste. Keep aside.

* Add chilled condensed milk, paan-gulkand paste and green food colour to the whipped cream. Mix gently using a spatula until just combined. Do not overmix.

* Pour half of this mixture into a freezer-safe container and sprinkle half of the tutti-frutti on it. Pour the remaining ice-cream mixture on it and sprinkle some more tutti-frutti on it. Freeze for 6 hours or overnight .

* Scoop out in ice-cream bowls and garnish with tutti-frutti or sugar-coated fennel seeds.
