Ingredients2 potatoes, boiled and peeled
1 carrot, finely chopped
1 onion, finely chopped
2-3 tbsp green peas
2-3 green chilli, finely chopped
2-3 tbsp freshly chopped coriander leaves
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
½ tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp chaat masala
Salt to taste
1 tbsp corn flour
2 tbsp all purpose flour (maida)
Oil for frying
1 tbsp corn flour +water
½ crushed Corn flakes or bread crumbs
Few ice cream sticks
Method* Peel and boil potatoes and green peas in pressure cooker with water for 3 whistles.
* Take boiled potatoes and peas in a bowl and mash them.
* Now add finely chopped onions, carrots, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander leaves, coriander powder, garam masala, chaat masala and salt.
* Also add corn flour and maida for binding.
* Make equal size small oval balls or round balls of the mixture and Insert the ice cream stick in each ball and press well.
* Keep in refrigerator for an hour.
* Remove them from refrigerator.
* Mix the cornflour into a bowl and add little water to make thick batter.
* Each time dip each in a cornflour batter and roll over with the crushed corn flakes or bread crumbs.
* Heat oil in a pan, when the oil becomes hot add one by one coated balls with ice cream stick and deep fry till crispy and golden.
* Take out on a absorbent paper to remove the excess oil from it.
* Served hot with tomato ketchup.
