IngredientsBroccoli - 1 cup shredded
Potato - 1/3 cup Boiled and mashed
Onion - 3 tbsp finely chopped
Ginger-garlic paste - 3/4 tsp
Green chilli - 1 finely chopped
Garam Masala powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Bengal Gram flour (kadalai mavu) or bread crumbs - 3 tbsp
Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp finely chopped
Fresh lemon juice - 3-4 drops
Salt to taste
Method# Bring water to boil with a little salt. Add the washed and cleaned broccoli florets. Let it remain in water for 2-3 minutes. Drain the water completely, pat it dry and mince it in a food processor.
# In a bowl, mix together broccoli, boiled and mashed potato, finely chopped onions, ginger-garlic paste, finely chopped green chilli, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, finely chopped coriander leaves, salt needed, bengal gram flour or bread crumbs and lemon juice. Mix well.
# Divide the mixture into equal parts. Form patties from the mixture as shown below. If you are unable to form patties, add more bread crumbs or bengal gram flour.
# Heat oil in a pan/tawa and shallow fry the cutlets on medium low heat until golden brown on both sides. It will take time. Have patience.
# Enjoy hot with tomato ketchup or tomato chutney or green chutney and a cup of piping hot tea.
