5 Things Every Mother Should Teach Her Daughter

If you are a mother of a girl then it is very essential for you to know each and every needs of your daughter. There are many things that you can only tell her. If you are feeling shy to talk anything to your daughter then leave the shy and make your daughter a perfect girl, increase her confidence to stand confidentially in front of many people.

* Active listening

Listen what your daughter is saying. Don't interrupt her. Guide her in the way, where you don't become a negative part. Positive communication starts with good listening. When you practice active listening, you concentrate on what your daughter tells you instead of thinking about your response or advice that you want to give.

* Trust

Create an atmosphere of trust. If you will trust your daughter then you will also get the positive feedback from her. When you talk to a teen, it's simple for character attacks, blaming, assumptions, over generalizations, past events and irrelevant issues to sneak into conversations. To promote positive communication, talk to your teen about how the two of you can communicate with each other in a way that's more respectful, focused and open; brainstorm together.

* You are her mother

As a mom, it's important to maintain your role as a parent, not as your daughter's best friend. Your daughter has friends her own age and she's more interested in finding her own sense of self than being the younger version of you. However, it's important to stay connected to your daughter by listening to the music that she enjoys, going window shopping and taking a true interest in what she likes.

* Accept their lifestyle

This is probably the most difficult step for mothers but it is one of the most important. You have to understand and accept that your daughter is not a child any longer. She is growing into an independent, mature human being and the sooner you begin treating her as such, the better your relationship will be.

* Respect for all others

Children are not born with racism and classicism. It is environmental conditioning. Much of it is unconscious, and all of it is due to misunderstandings. The best thing you can do for your daughters is to give them as many experiences as possible with as many different people as possible.
