2 terrorists suspected to be holed up in Delhi

The Delhi Police has issued an advisory on the possible presence of two suspected terrorists in the national capital, and asked the people to keep a lookout for them. The advisory carries with it a photograph of the two bearded men posing next to a milestone stating ‘Delhi 360 km, Ferozepur 9 km’ in dark kurtas and religious headgear.

Anybody spotting them is requested to call the Paharganj police station on 011-23520787 or 011-2352474. Ferozepur is located on the India-Pakistan border in Punjab. The Punjab Police was placed on alert last week after its counter-intelligence wing suggested that six to seven Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists “could be moving towards Delhi” from the state.

The alert came on the heels of four people hijacking a taxi at gunpoint on November 13, sparking fears of another Pathankot-like terrorist attack. The Indian Air Force’s Pathankot airbase was attacked by suspected Pakistani terrorists on January 2, 2016. Seven security personnel and four terrorists were killed in the ensuing clash.
