The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has unveiled its manifesto for the Maharashtra Assembly elections in 2024. This document outlines various promises aimed at uplifting the grassroots population. Among the key pledges is an annual deposit of Rs 25,000 into each woman's account. Additionally, under the Kisan Samman Yojana, farmers will receive Rs 15,000 annually, an increase from the current Rs 12,000.

Economic Initiatives and Technological AdvancementsA guaranteed price of Rs 6,000 per quintal for soybeans is promised along with State and Goods and Services Tax concessions on fertilizers. To empower women financially, a revolving fund of Rs 1,000 crore will support self-help groups aiming to make 50 lakh women 'lakhpati didis' over three years.
Free food grains will be provided to poor families via the Akshay Anna Yojana. Robotics and artificial intelligence training programs are planned for government schools under schemes like Maharathi and Atal Tinkrig Lab. The BJP also promises skill development aligned with industry needs through a skill census in Maharashtra.
Empowering Women and YouthThe manifesto includes plans for creating one million entrepreneurs by establishing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Aspiration Centers in every district. Students from backward classes such as OBCs, SEBCs, ECs as well as EWS and VJNT categories will receive full rebates on education and examination fees.
Health initiatives include issuing Swami Vivekananda Youth Health Cards and conducting annual health check-ups for youth and senior citizens. Conservation efforts for Maharashtra's forts are also highlighted alongside policies prioritising senior citizens' welfare through Aadhaar-enabled services in government hospitals.
Social Welfare Measures
The BJP's manifesto commits to enacting laws against forced conversions while curbing fraudulent conversions. It also aims to mitigate human-wildlife conflicts using modern technology to prevent loss of life due to wild animals. Overall welfare measures target women, youth, senior citizens, farmers as well as marginalised communities.
