Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today invoked the sentiments of Jharkhand voters by invoking Roti, Beti and Maati. Chouhan is campaigning for BJP in Jharkhand which is looking prepping up for a high stakes poll battle.
Union Minister for Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan
I promise you on behalf of PM Modi and JP Nadda that if BJP gets elected in Jharkhand, we will ensure the protection of your 'roti', 'beti', and 'maati', he said.
Here 'roti' signifies the prevailing unemployment in the state, and 'beti' highlights the issue of 'love jihad' and atrocities against women. Meanwhile, 'maati' points towards 'land jihad' due to the influx of illegal infiltrators in Jharkhand.
Interestingly, women voters have responded positively to BJP's campaign till now. They seemed to have forged an emotional connect with the saffron party.
BJP has received an organic response from voters in Jharkhand, which clearly indicates a shift in the traditional vote bank of JMM and Congress.
The 81-member Jharkhand Legislative Assembly will exercise suffrage between November to December.
All parties including JMM, Congress, and BJP are vying for the throne of Ranchi. Going by the trends, BJP has a clear upper hand over its rivals.
