Ahead of the festival of Makar Sankranti mayor Meena Jonwal reached Lalpur, Manganath, Ramghat and other ghats of river Kshipra and took stock of water available for ‘parv-snan’ on Wednesday. According to mayor 1 MCFT water of river Gambhir will be pumped into river Kshipra daily till the festival so that the devotees may take holy dip in clean water.
According to UMC officials Meena Jonwal met collector Shashank Mishra and assured him for water supply from Gambhir dam till the festival, for devotees to dip in. During the inspection mayor in council members Kalawati Yadav, Durga Choudhary, Mangilal Kadel, Buddhiprakash Soni, deputy commissioner Yogendra Patel, Sunil Shah, superintending engineer Pradeep Nigam, executive engineer PHE Dharmendra Verma, and PRO Raees Nizami were also present.
