Humans and animals have shared a close relationship for centuries. Naturally, just like how pets be it cats or dogs look out for their masters, humans too try to do as much as they can, to ensure their pets safety, comfort and well-being. One way to do this is by observing certain vastu principles that can invoke positivity and happiness at home.
* Place your pet’s (more importantly dogs) bed in the north-west, north or east direction to keep them cheerful, well-behaved and happy. These are the directions from where positive energy flows into the home. South east and south west directions should be avoided as they can make them restless and unhealthy.
* If you have birds, keep the bird cage in the north, east or north-east direction to keep them healthy, active and reciprocative.
* If you have fish, keep the aquarium in the north-east direction so the fish live longer and healthier lives. This will also reduce anxiety and depression amongst the occupants of the house.
* Although a rarity in India, people in Dubai like to keep eagles as pets. These should be kept in the south-west direction as it increases their intellectual abilities and vision. In fact, if Eagles are placed in directions that are beneficial for dogs, they become lazy and lethargic.
* A turtle tank should be kept in the north direction as it is considered auspicious as per vastu principles. This direction also symbolises wealth and good luck; and animals too are harbingers of prosperity.
