It is a tradition to wear dresses that represent the colors of Navratri on each of the nine days and is considered very sacred in the Hindu religion. The color of the second day of the festival is white, which symbolizes peace, purity, and innocence. On this day, Goddess Brahmacharini is worshipped.
Day 3 - Red: The Color Of Life And Passion
On the third day of Navratri, the color red is to be worn. On this day of Navratri, Goddess Chandraghanta is worshipped.
Day 4 - Royal Blue: The Color Of Calmness And Serenity
This year, color royal blue is to be worn on the fourth day of Navratri. On this day devotees seek blessings from Goddess Kushmanda. She is believed to bestow strength and wealth and also improve health.
Day 5 - Yellow: The Color That Conveys Fresh Energy
The color dedicated to the fifth day of Navratri is yellow which stands for happiness, power, and brightness. Goddess Skandmata is worshipped on this day.
Day 6 - Green: The Color Of Harmony
Goddess Katyayani is honored on the sixth day of Navratri. The color for the sixth day Navratri 2019 is green. Green is considered to be the color of harmony, new beginnings, and growth.
Day 7 - Grey: The Color Of Knowledge And Wisdom
The color Grey is being dedicated to the seventh day of Navratri. Grey, considered to be the color of intellect, knowledge, and wisdom is lucky on this day. Goddess Kalaratri is worshipped by devotees to seek her blessings.
Day 8 - Purple: The Color Of Spirituality And Creativity
This day is considered as the most auspicious day of Navratri, also known as ashtami is dedicated to Goddess Mahagauri. She is believed to bless devotees with peace and harmony. Purple is the color selected for the eighth day of Navratri and also a lucky color.
Day 9 - Peacock Green: The Color Of Beauty, Freedom, And Nobility
The ninth and last day of Navratri is dedicated to Goddess Siddhidhatri. She is believed to fulfill all the divine aspirations of devotees. Many rituals and puja are performed on this day of Navratri. Peacock Green is considered to be the lucky color for the day.
