The religious procession from ISKCON temple on Budh Marg will pass through Indira Gandhi Planetarium to Income-Tax roundabout, Dak Bungalow roundabout, Gandhi Maidan, Exhibition Road, Fraser Road on way to the Mahavir temple near Patna Junction. From there, the yatra will return to ISKCON temple via General Post Office roundabout.

Addressing a press conference on Sunday, ISKCON-Patna secretary Krishna Kripa Das said the Rath Yatra would start at 2pm with a ‘maha-aarti’ followed by a five-hour procession. “A 40ft high hydraulic-based chariot has already been constructed for Lord Jagannath, Subhadra and Baldev. Fifteen traditional artists were engaged for the decoration and painting of the idols and chariots,” he said.

ISKCON PRO Gopal Das said, “Apart from the main chariot, various ‘jhankis’ or tableaux will also be a part of the procession. The president of temple building committee, L N Poddar, will inaugurate the yatra by lighting traditional lamp. Besides, ISKCON regional secretary Acharya Mahavishnu Swamiji, who lives in London, will also attend the yatra.”
