The phrase "age is catching up with you" is dreaded by many. This is usually an obvious sign that you are aging. Lines and wrinkles begin to appear on your face and in that moment you begin to think, is there anything I can possibly do about it? Whereas there are creams that one can buy and use to help, learn the natural ways that you can do it right from your kitchen.
One thing that we cannot change is the natural aging process. It plays a key role. With time, we all get visible lines on our face. It is natural for our face to lose some of its youthful fullness. We notice our skin becoming thinner and drier. Our genes largely control when these changes occur. The medical term for this type of aging is “intrinsic aging.”
We can influence another type of aging that affects our skin. Our environment and lifestyle choices can cause our skin to age prematurely. The medical term for this type of aging is “extrinsic aging.” By taking some preventive actions, we can slow the effects that this type of aging has on our skin.
Lime juice + Eggs
You can age by developing dark spots and experiencing sagging skin. If you've noticed the signs, get an egg white, add a teaspoon of lime juice then stir well and apply on your face. Ensure you don't get lime into your eyes. Wait for 20 minutes and wash your face with water. Eggs contain proteins that will tighten your sagging skin, while lemon juice will do away with the dark spots and blemishes.
Olive oil + Banana
This combo is simply the bomb. With olive oil being a great moisturizer and bananas carrying loads of potassium, zinc, vitamin A,B,C and E, combining the two helps in reversing any signs of aging. Get a banana, mash it well and add two teaspoons of olive oil, mix well and apply on your face. Leave it there for 15 minutes, remove wash with water and kiss those wrinkles goodbye.
Honey + Sugar
A good skin needs to be exfoliated regularly. Sugar is a natural exfoliator, and it helps with doing away with dead, dry skin. Mix a tablespoon of sugar and a tablespoon of honey. Scrub your face with it. Take care not to hurt your face. Let it sit for minutes before rinsing with water. Honey will deal with getting rid of dirt on your pores, while sugar will remove the dead skin.
Ginger
Tea is known for its anti-ageing properties. Just make some tea, don't add milk or sugar, but instead add ginger. Let it boil and then cool it a bit. Using a cotton ball, apply all over your face. After 20 seconds, wash it off. Your skin will glow and different types of ageing will also be prevented.
Rose water + Grape juice
Using either green or black grapes, squeeze some, then add a few drops of rose water, mix and apply well on your face. Whereas grapes are loaded with lots of antioxidants which will help your skin restore it's elasticity, rose water on the other hand gives your skin a cooling effect, and help you remove excess oil.
