We all have some common ingredients in the kitchen which work wonders on hair and skin. These are inexpensive and all natural as compared to the most products we buy. The answer to most skin and hair issues can be found in these simple ingredients which have no side effects.
# Egg
An egg white mask will help tighten your pores and improve the appearance of oily skin. Mix one egg white and juice of half a lemon. Lemon will reduce the smell of egg. Rinse your face with warm water to open up your pores and apply this mask in an upward motion. Let it sit for about 20 minutes and rinse with water.
An egg is a source of protein which promotes healthy hair and skin when included in your diet or applied externally. The yolk is rich in fat and protein which is moisturizing. The white is full of bacteria eating enzymes which cleanses your hair and scalp. Use a full egg for normal to dry hair and whites for oily hair and scalp.

Baking soda isn’t just a baking staple but a great beauty ingredient. It’s used in toothpaste for teeth whitening and skin care as an exfoliant. For whiter teeth, sprinkle a pinch of baking soda on your required amount of everyday toothpaste and brush your teeth like you normally do.
There are many ways of using baking soda as an exfoliant. It helps fight acne and breakouts. One of the easiest methods is to add a small amount on your everyday face wash and mix it in your palm. Gently massage your face in circular motion. Use this two to three times a week. If you like, you can skip store-bought face washes and just use baking soda mixed with water for washing your face.

Most of us need caffeine to kick-start our lazy mornings. Taken internally or applied on the skin, caffeine is the solution for tired and puffy eyes. Instead of throwing away used tea bags, keep them in the fridge to cool and apply on your puffy eyes. Keep the tea bag on your eyes for 10 minutes. Your eyes will instantly feel refreshed. You can also try chamomile tea bags as it has anti-inflammatory properties.
You can also make your own toner with green tea which helps brighten your face. Steep a green tea bag in a cup of water and keep it in the fridge to cool down. After an hour, remove the tea bag and pour your tea in a spray bottle. Spritz this toner on your face after washing your face.

Milk and yogurt contain lactic acid which dissolves pores and tighten them. It helps to clear out your skin by removing impurities from the pores and making your skin brighter. Take a tsp of yogurt in your palm and gently massage it on your face.

Garlic is great for acne and nails. Garlic is an all natural nail strengthener. It helps to grow your nails faster and stronger. Simply, peel a clove of garlic and rub in on your nails. Let the juices absorb into the nail and cuticles then rinse with water. If you don’t like the smell, rub half a lemon on your nails. For your skin, garlic has antioxidant properties which help pimples and blemish removal. Slice a clove of garlic and rub it on your pimple. This will help heal a pimple quicker.
# Brown Sugar
Sugar is a natural source of glycolic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) which helps regenerate new skin cells. Scrubs usually contain tiny exfoliants which are sugar particles, used to remove dead cells accumulated on the skin. Brown sugar makes an excellent scrub for face and sensitive skin because it is gentler than refined sugar or salt. To make an easy sugar scrub for face, mix 1 cup brown sugar, 1 tbsp honey, and 1/4th cup olive oil. You can also use this on the rest of your body.
Your lips need exfoliation too. To help your lip color apply smoothly and prevent flaky, chapped lips, make your own easy sugar lip scrub. Mix sugar, honey, and glycerin in a small empty lip balm tin and use it twice a week.
