10 Movies Where Bollywood Choose Love Over Friendship

Bollywood is always giving us a new story to remember and with new concept. But one thing that has been seen many times, is Love triangle. A love triangle makes any dull plot interesting – and it is the tried and tested formula of dozens of Bollywood superhit movies.
* Ishqiya
This is a love triangle as much as a woman using two lovesick men for her own gain. With an unconventional star cast – Vidya Balan, Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi – this movie was one of the biggest hits of 2010 and took away a number of awards.
* Baajirao Mastani
Boy is married, goes to new state and meets pretty girl. Girl falls in love with boy and follows him home like a creep only to find out he's married. The hero on seeing the girl's dedication does mohabbat (not ayyaashi, mind you) with her. His wife finds out, does a little drama but ends up giving them her blessing.
* New York
In the backdrop of the xenophobia that ruled New York after the 7/11 attacks, this movie follows the story of a framed taxi owner Neil Nitin Mukesh who spies on another Indian, John Abraham who is also thought to be a terrorist. Neil is in love with Katrina, who is married to John.
* Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbaai Dobara
Although not released yet, the sizzling triangle between Sonakshi Sinha with both Akshay Kumar and Imran Khan seen in the trailers is proof enough. While Sonakshi's already done a number of movies with Akshay, this will be her first movie with Imran.
* Cocktail
Cocktail is probably the hippest love triangle in the recent years. When a reformed Casanova gets stuck between a party girl and a desi chick, it can make for an interesting, albeit heartbreaking, outcome.
* Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster
A modern retelling of the original ‘Sahib Biwi Aur Ghulam', ‘Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster' captures the ennui and indiscretion of a bored wife beautifully. When relationships are not based just on love, the politics involved is quite intricate – and the movie represents just that.
* Student Of The Year
Two best friends and a girl, set against the backdrop of a ‘school’ that has a tradition of holding the weirdest competition ever.
* Raanjhanaa
This is a film about extremes. Dhanush is in love with Sonam who's in love with someone else. So, he turns stalker. She is bothered by the stalkerness and gets him killed. Baat hi khatam.
* Jab Tak Hai Jaan
I wish there was one but its a mish-mash of random stuff happening in places and at times when it shouldn't.
* Barfi
An 'inspired' but nonetheless really sweet movie, Barfi tells the story of a mute man Murphy. He falls in love with a girl with perfect winged liner but obviously the girl gets married to someone else. Murphy, or as he calls himself, Barfi then meets Priyanka who too is disabled. They start living together but the pretty woman comes back . He, however, stays with the girl who remains by his side even when a street light is about to fall on them.
